She was predeceased by: her husband McCleskey "Mack" Sparks; her daughter Brenda Kay Bobko; her parents, Thomas Jethro Nelson and Maudie Odessa Nelson; and her siblings, Arnold Dean, Tressie, Iris Cregar, Lawrence Belton Nelson and Billy Jerry Nelson.

She is survived by: her children, Robin Hyche (Fred) and Billy Sparks (Mary Jean); and her grandchildren, Missy Spinella (Mario), Keith McCullar (Tammy) and Gabriel Santa Cruz (Melissa). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
