He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis R. Martinez and Cornelia Tijerina; his stepmother Lenora Martinez; his former wife Amparo Martinez; his siblings, Victor Martinez, Marcellina Martinez and Joe Campos; and his grandson Jesse Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Martinez of Haskell, Texas; his children, Vicki Scoggins, Louis R Martinez, Mary Helen Arriaga, Dianne Hernandez, Adrian Martinez, Audra Mason, Larry Lovell and Tiffany Godke; and his grandchildren, Angel of Monica, J. D, Chris, Edward, Carlos, Anthony, Alyssa, Amaya, Evan, Tyler, Hunter, Ramsey and Ethan. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
