She was predeceased by: her parents, Zora Medford and Guinn Medford; her brother Bobby; her husband Charles Bates; and her granddaughter Cristi Bates.

She is survived by: her children, Randy Bates (Kathy) of Granbury, Texas, Terry Bates (Pam) of Jacksonville, Texas and Cynthia O'Donnell (Rusty) of Stanton, Texas; and her granddaughter Michelle Ray (Stan) of McKinney, Texas.. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
