He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Claud Thompson and Verda Mae Thompson (Yancey); his wife Frances Sargent; his sons, Glenn Sargent Thompson and Gregory Layne Thompson; his siblings, Robert (Frances), Shirley Mohler and Nancy Baker (Jake); his son Greg (Linda); and his grandchildren, Taadamexa Thompson Smith (Travis), Tanya Lynn Thompson McGonagill (John), Tulley Nolan Thompson (Jacqueline) and Susan Bethany Thompson (Matt Brown). He was also cherished by 8 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
