It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angelica Perez Benavides of Haskell, Texas, born in Falfurrias, Texas, who passed away on October 26, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Petra Perez (Ramirez) and Gil Perez; her husband Amador Benavides; her children, Zilda Benavides, Paul Benavides and Hilbert Benavides, Sr.; and her grandsons, Joshua Escobedo, Benny Tafolla and Valentine Tafolla.
She is survived by: her children, Elsa Rodriguez (Amado) of Knox City, Emlyn Escobedo (Rufino Jr.) of Austin, Amador Benavides (Linda) of San Angelo and Joe Benavides of Haskell; and her siblings, Amelia Perez of Falfurrias, Janie Perez of Odem, Josefa Cabrera of Freemont and Alberto Perez of Houston. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
