He was predeceased by: his wife Mabra Lee Chaney; his parents, James McKinney Chaney and Donna Clara Chaney; and his former wife Mary Lee. He is survived by: his sons, David Samuel Chaney (Diana) of Harper and Edward Dale Chaney (Sharon) of Harper; his stepchildren, Jimmy Lee of Arlington and Marlynn Rumm (Allen) of Beaumont; and his grandchildren, Christa Michelle Chaney, Angela Marlene Chaney, Michael Shane Chaney, Jason Lee Reed, Stefani Maria Chaney and Tucker Rumm. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
