He is survived by: his sons, Gilberto Colunga and Freddy Colunga (Claudia); the mother of his children Ofelia Colunga; and his sisters, Bartola Santillan (Encarnacion "Chon"), Margaret Saldana and Catalina Ruedas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
