With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Garza of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on October 25, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Beverly Perez; and her parents, Juan Saldana and Manuela Saldana. She is survived by: her husband Rene Morales of Harlingen; her daughters, Cristina Vento (Rogelio) of Quinlan and Sylvia Villarreal, Jr. (Tracy) of Harlingen; her grandchildren, Darek Costilla, Jr., Jasper D. Costilla, Aria Vento, Rogelio Vento, Jr., Dante B. Vento, Josh Perez and Mia Mendoza; and her siblings, Celia De La Cruz, Velma Saldana, Rosa Alvarado, Juan Saldana, Jr., Frank Saldana, Joe Leal and Oralia Leal. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A prayer was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Rio Hondo City Cemetery (930 S Arroyo Blvd, Rio Hondo, TX 78583).
