He was predeceased by: his parents, Santos Salazar and Margarita Salazar; his grandson Francisco Ricardo Salazar; and his siblings, Margarita Romero, Guadalupe Hinojosa, Ezequiel Fernandez Jr. and Roberto Fernandez.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Graham; his sons, Francisco Salazar (Armandina) and Carlos Salazar; and his grandchildren, Daniel J. Salazar, Amanda I. Garcia and Frank A. Castillo. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
