Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Salvador leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvador Fernandez and Amparo Fernandez; and the mother of his child Diana Torres. He is survived by: his friend Salvador Fernandez, Jr.; his daughter Journee Shaw (Matthew); his granddaughter Mattie Shaw; and his siblings, Fortiz Fernandez (Elsa), Rosie Fernandez (David Ochoa) and Teresita Fernandez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
