He is survived by: his sons, Ruben Contreras III (Aida) and Xavier Contreras (Sandra); his grandchildren, Matthew Joseph, Eliana Danielle and Gabriella Victoria Contreras; his sisters, Carolina Rodriguez (Florida), Elisa McCrary (Indiana) and Rachel Garcia (New Mexico); and his great-nephew Judah M. Contreras. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
