He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Chandler; his daughter-in-law Bennie Newby; his grandchildren, Tiffany Newby and Clifford Newby (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Jazmine Thompson, Nicholas Newby and Leon Newby; and his siblings, Mary Moore of San Antonio, TX, Martha Williams (California) and Cail Turner of Marion, TX.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery (26170 N Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586).
