He is survived by: his wife Maria Alicia Tapia; his daughter Biddy Tapia-Flores; his grandchildren, Robert Tapia III (Meghan), Gregory Rene Tapia (Krystal), Jennifer Nicole Rangel (John David), Marisa Renee Flores and Addie Flores; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Elijah Tapia, Jamie Nicole Tapia, Emma Renee Tapia, Jazlynn Rose Rangel, Willow Marie Tapia and Sophia Mae Tapia; his siblings, Abelardo Tapia Jr. (Carol) and Norma Burkhart (Ross); and his siblings-in-law, Apolonio Garcia (Olga), Flora Tapia (Armando), Carmen Ramirez, Socorro Saldana, Gilberto Lerma (Cuca) and Edmundo Garcia (Dolores). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
