He was predeceased by: his parents, Baltazar Hernandez and Socorro Cruz; his former wife Ofelia Carter Hernandez; his daughter Sylvia Ledezma; and his aunt Ester Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife San Juanita Hernandez; his children, Laura Meehan (Patrick W.), Sonia Dennany (James E.), Norma Brown (Robert), Annabelle Geer (Michael) and Robert A. Hernandez (Maria G.); his stepdaughters, Norma, Elma and Nora; his grandchildren, Katarina Olivarez Grice, Sara Olivarez Roller, Sonia Emily Gleason, Nathaniel Brown, Silvie Geer, Richard Andrew Hernandez, Rebecca Annette Hernandez and Raymond Abram Hernandez; his great grandchildren, Evan, Everett, Ethan and Eugene Gleason; and his siblings, Federico Hernandez, Angela Hernandez and Elva Hernandez.
