The passing of Rita Kelly of Harlingen, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 100. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Babler and Elizabeth Babler; and her husband Vincent Kelly. She is survived by: her children, Bryan Kelly of Clearwater, MN, Elizabeth Blackburn (Gary) of Macon, GA, Kevin Kelly of Harlingen, TX and Colleen Kelly of Corpus Christi, TX; and her grandchildren, Theresa Haugen, Rachel Lanigan, Kristi Kelly, Kathryn Wright, Andrea Walker, Matthew Kelly, James Petru and Sarah Petru. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (502 S Canal St, La Feria, TX 78559). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (S Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
In lieu of flowers, Masses would be appreciated for the repose of Rita's soul or donations made to St. Francis Xavier Church Building Fund, 502 S. Canal St., La Feria, TX 78559 or to a Pro-Life organization.
