He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Estela S. Perez; his parents, Jesus M. Perez and Josefa Garza; his siblings, Natalia Castillo, Ventura Perez, Amalia Perez, Homero Perez, Jesus Perez, Elma Kevae and Adalberto Perez; his children, Yvonne Perez Emerson, Catherine Freeman, Debra E. Perez, Cecilia Lopez (Cici), Angela M Vasquez and Robert J. Perez; and his siblings, Jose Eloy Perez and Guadalupe "Mary Lou" Trevino. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 24 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Treasure Hills Presbyterian Church (2120 N Ed Carey Dr, Harlingen, TX 78550). The inurnment was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rio Grande Valley Veterans Cemetery (2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
