It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Lee Simonsen (Harlingen, Texas), born in Portland, Oregon, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Dennis Fryrear (Denny); his father Raymond Arnold Simonsen; his stepfather Brooks Fryrear; and his mother Phyllis Fryrear (Kirkpatrick). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Simonsen (McCall); his daughters, Traci Erin Beckwith-Winget (John), Kelly Bridget Yeatman and Elizabeth Rose Simonsen; his grandchildren, Shelby, Blake, Kirsten, Joshua, John Lee Brooks, Eric, Ashley and Jessica; and his friend Rebeca Coronado. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution to the Quentin Hale Scholarship Fund at First Methodist Church.
