He is survived by: his siblings, Manuel Cortez Jr., Norma De La Garza and Melissa Hinojosa; and his nieces and nephews, Leanna De La Garza, Rene De La Garza Jr., Sarah Martinez, Elizabeth Hinojosa, Ronald Hinojosa and Mathew Hinojosa.
