He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Ramirez and Concepcion Escareno; his wife Guadalupe Ramirez; his son Rene Ramirez; and his son-in-law Lucas Alvarado.
He is survived by: his children, Ricardo Ramirez (Lupita), Rafael Ramirez, Jr. (Crystal), Diana Leal (Frank) and Celina Ramirez; his grandchildren, Ricardo Jr., Adan, Felicia, Melissa, Victoria, Erika, Amanda and Marlisa; and his great grandchildren, Krystianna, Hunter, Amelia, Alexander, Lucas, Elenora, Ryan, Kristian, Isaac and Julian.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A prayer was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Santa Rita Cemetery.
