He is survived by: his wife Francisca Garza; and his children, Mary Villarreal (Mateo), Julian Enrique Garza (Norma), Angie Garza, David Garza (Martha), Reynaldo Garza (Mary Helen) and Noel Garza (Elizabeth). He is also survived by his 41 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
