He was predeceased by: his son Adan Cortez. He is survived by: his wife Estefana L. Cortez; his children, Eloy Cortez, Sr. (Rosa) and Edna Cortez; his grandchildren, Eloy Cortez, Jr., Naomee Cortez, Elexis Chapa, Elyse Chapa and Elysa Chapa; and his siblings, Obed Cortez (Petra), Alejandro Yanez (Flora), Ricardo Yanez (Eva), Olga Trevino (Manuel) and Oren Cortez (Minerva). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
