She was predeceased by: her parents, Rafael Cardoza and Aurora Cardoza; her sons, Juan F. Prieto and Ricardo Prieto; and her siblings, Aurora Villalobos, Mary Lou Cardoza and Rafael Cardoza.

She is survived by: her children, Ndelia Barajas, Olga L. Prieto (Tondra J. Prieto), Norma Linda Prieto and Amanda Guzman; and her sister Marie Antonia Garza. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grand children.
