Ofelia Castaneda Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ofelia Castaneda of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on January 10, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ismael Valdez and Beatriz Valdez; her husband Albert Castañeda Sr.; and her siblings, Ismael, David Valdez, Guadalupe, Juan Valdez, Ildefonso and Amparo.

She is survived by: her brother Erdulfo; and her children, Albert Castañeda, Javier Castañeda (Alexis), Orlando Castañeda (Mary) and Sonia Castañeda. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral will be private.
