In the vast expanse of eternity, Maria Teresa shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Maria Teresa farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ruben Alvarez and Lydia Alvarez. She is survived by : her siblings, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Adan Alvarez, Estrella Alvarez, Lydia Alvarez and Oralia Zamora; and her caregivers, Frank Alvarez and Bertha. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
