She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Abelino Canales; her children, Blanca Garza (David), Pedro Antonio "Tony" Canales (Norma), Dora Alicia Longoria (Valerio) and Benito Canales (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Santiago David Garza, Ramiro Roberto Garza, Erasmo Chapa (Marisella), Eric Chapa (Amy), Celina Isabel Rangel (Jaime), Samantha Longoria, Michael Anthony Canales, Matthew Robert Canales, Abel Alfredo Canales and Abraham Elijah Canales; her great grandchildren, Karolina, Kolette, Madison, Katherine, Courtney and Colton; and her sister Juana Hernandez. She was also cherished by wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend. "Chavela or Chavelita" as her family and friends.
