With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcelene Brownell of Harlingen, Texas, born in Middletown, Ohio, who passed away on April 15, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Cassity and Golda Mae Cassity (McGuire); and her siblings, Dolores Cassity Coates and Michael Edward Cassity. She is survived by: her husband Lowell Thomas Brownell; her brother Danny Cassity (Sharon) of St. Augustine; and her grandchildren, Emily Clare Anderson, Steven Lawton Anderson, Jr. of Houston, Mallory Anne Brownell of Lexington and Walton Wyatt Brownell of Harlingen.
