He is survived by: his wife Norma Melendez; his children, Manuel Candanoza III (Diana), Gerardo A. Candanoza (Maria), Adrian A. Candanoza and Andrea M. Candanoza Garza (David); his stepdaughters, Shelly Navarro (Omar) and Andie McKim (Leo); and his siblings, Nora C. Rody (C. Garza) and Armando Candanoza (Dulia).
