He was predeceased by: his parents, Eusebio M. Torres and Francisca Ramos; and his siblings, Soila T. Guitron, Eusebio Torres Jr., Rosario T. Padilla, Oralia T. Lopez and Enrique Torres.
He is survived by: his children, Luis Torres Jr. (Yolanda Solis), Ruben, Lucy Briones (Arnold), Abel Torres, Leonel Torres (Evelin) and Prisila Trevino (Isaac); and his sisters, Yolanda T. Garcia and Maria T. Gonzales. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (1015 E Van Buren Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (S Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
