Soto, Sr.; her grandparents, Jose Antonio Soto, Sr., Julia Levrier Soto, Apolonio Martinez, Jr. (Polo) and Lillian Ruth Childress-Martinez; her father-in-law Robert R. Gates, Jr.; her aunt Mary Soto-Vitello; and her uncles, Daniel Vitello and Jose Antonio Soto, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Jason A. Gates; her daughters, Ileana Ruth Gates (David Hammond), Karen Elizabeth Gates and Julia Alexis Gates; her granddaughter Emily Ruth Hammond; her brothers, Alfonso X. Soto, Jr. (Eunice) and Jose Antonio Soto II; and her mother Neida Ruth Soto-Grantland (Robert).
