He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarita Lara Melendez and Mike Cruz; and his brother Raul Melendez. He is survived by: his wife Gracie Melendez; his sister Vicky Garcia (Robert); his uncle Lupe S. Lara; and his nieces and nephews, Cecilia Salazar, Avangelina Bentley and Zamuel Bentley. He is also survived by dog, Cookie; godchildren.
