He was predeceased by: his mother Jo Ann Manning Shawhan. He is survived by: his father John B. Shawhan of Plainville; his wife Yong Hui Shawhan; his son Leighton J. Shawhan (Rebekah) of Harlingen, TX; his grandchildren, Lexi, Landon and Lydia Shawhan of Harlingen, TX; and his sister Jerri Ann Bennington (Tom) of Washington, IN..
