He was predeceased by: his wife Dominga Delgado Chavez; his son Roberto Chavez; his mother Maria Molina; and his brother Ed Molina. He is survived by: his children, Juan Chavez Jr. (Anna Marie), Sylvia Chavez and Nora Chavez; his grandchildren, Fabian Chavez Padilla, Kenneth Dwight Chavez, Kristian Marie Chavez, Brandon Jonathan Chavez, Natalie Nicole Gallardo, Joanna C. Ramirez Chavez, Melanie L. Ramirez Chavez, Anthony Omar Gallardo, Kevin J. Ramirez Chavez, Kimberly Nicole Gallardo and Robert Isaac Chavez; and his siblings, Dora Love, Minerva Norbury, Belinda Zavala (Alfonso), Nora Lee Martinez (Jesse) and Mike Molina (Sally).
