He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Raul Torres and Luciana Tovar of Torres; and his sisters, Mariana Gonzalez and Maria Luisa Paloma. He is survived by: his family, Hollywood, San Francisco and Niagara Falls Canada; his wife Alicia Torres; his children, Edgar Torres, Eliut Torres (Lauri) and Elizabeth Torres Salinas (Eric); his grandchildren, Edgar Torres Jr., Erich Torres, Lauren and Christian Torres; and his brother Francisco Contreras "Paco".
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (1015 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550).
