He was predeceased by: his mother Socorro Ortiz; and his siblings, Ernesto, Javier Ortiz and Laura Rodriguez. He is survived by: his father Humberto Ortiz; his wife Angelina Ortiz; his children, Juan Angel Ortiz, Griselda Ortiz (Edgar Antonio Sanchez), Veronica Ortiz (Adam Cervantes) and Jackie Ortiz (John Kim); and his siblings, Marco Antonio Ortiz, Jesus Ortiz, Lupita Ortiz, Humberto Ortiz and Soledad Ortiz. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
