She was predeceased by: her husband Nicolas Gutierrez; her children, Francisco Javier and Elvirita; her brothers, Uvaldo Saldivar and Cesario Saldivar; and her granddaughter Claudia A. Rivas.

She is survived by: her children, Humberto Gutierrez, Marina Martinez (Abraham), Aurora Elizondo (Francisco), Maria Guadalupe Sandoval, Maria Elvira Gongora (Jorge), Rosa Elva Gutierrez, Sylvia Amelia Vasquez (Gerardo), Iliana Elizabeth Santisteban (Ives), Laura Yadira Torres (Ruben), Luis Carlos Gutierrez (Aurelia), Sandra Aguilar (Samuel) and Adriana Perez (Rosbel); and her sister Mona Saldivar. She is also survived by 50 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
