He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Soto Benavidez of Harlingen; his children, Regina Benavidez of Harlingen, Chriselda Garcia (Rick) of Arlington, Jose Felipe Benavidez Jr. (Gloria) of San Benito and Johnny Daniel Benavidez of San Antonio; his siblings, Carmen Villarreal (Emilio), Nelda Quintanar (Pepe), Lazaro Benavidez (Mary), Cristina Ramos (Damaso), Hector Benavidez (Erica), Rosie Flores and Ricarda Munoz (Ray); and his grandchildren, Alex, Marky of Terisa, J. D, Jason, Emma, Johnathan, Aria, Gianna of Ellie, J. J., Bella, Camille and Gracely. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
