He was predeceased by: his parents, Mario Garcia and Claudia Garcia; his brother Mario Garcia, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Vicente Ortiz. He is survived by: his wife Terisa Garcia; his daughters, Melisa Garcia (Eric Siebert) and Monica Garcia (Victor Bresofski); his stepdaughter Crystal Mayberry (Derick Jackson); his siblings, Ignacio Garcia (Frances), Raul Garcia (Arminda), Luis Garcia, Mary Garcia (Juan Longoria) and Dr. Anna Garcia; his grandchildren, Brittany Glaze, Aundrea Borski, Kamryn Calderon, Nicholas Siebert, Sarah Siebert, Brett Bresofski, Bryce Bresofski, Madison Jackson and Dominic Jackson; his great grandchildren, Zayne Glaze, Thomas Boyett, Emilia Dean and Delilah Boyett; and his nephew Luis Garcia (Cito). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives.
