He is survived by: his wife Micaela Montenegro; his siblings, Diana Muñoz (Felix), Hilda Montenegro, Ofelia Montenegro and Ruben G. Montenegro (Alicia); his nieces and nephews, Ruben Montenegro Jr., Michelle Lopez, Rigoberto Montenegro, Felix Munoz Jr., Fredrick Muñoz, Frank Ibarra, Ferdinand Muñoz, Danielle Perez and Fellippe Muñoz; his sister-in-law Victoria Montenegro; and his niece Victoria Lopez.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 7:00 AM. Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home (1400 E Business 77, San Benito, TX 78586). A Mass was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (16584 US-281, San Benito, TX 78586).
