He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Teresa Ann Bates of Denver, CO and David Bates (Tonya); his grandchildren, Zoie, Macy and Miley of Windsor, CO; his son Mike Bates; his grandchildren, Jace, Ariana and Tony of Lakewood, CO; his stepdaughter Chris Wilson (Zane); his grandchildren, Lee, Seth and Ty of Parker, CO; his stepdaughter Jamie Oldemeyer (Tony Nail); his grandchildren, Carson, Connor and Cailey of Parker, CO.; his former wife Carol Bates of Lakewood, CO; his siblings, Irene Walitalo of Littleton, CO, Carl Bates of Littleton, CO, Durrel Bates (Joyce) of Littleton, CO, Charlotte Stout of Arkansas City, KS and Shirley Adams (Bob) of Arkansas City, KS.; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Bates (Lloyd) and Shirlie Bates (Ben). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
