He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Lydia Lerma; his wife Maria Alejandra Duran Lerma; his children, Nereida Lerma Cantu (Rigoberto), Ignacio Javier Lerma (Jennifer Evette), Celia Lerma, Lilliana Lerma Barbosa (Ray), Elisa Maria Duran (Nereo Nuñez) and Javier Lerma Jr. (Dee Dee); his siblings, Gilberto Lerma, San Juana Ruiz, Ismael, Gerardo, Minerva, Lucas, Leticia, Linda, Marisela, Ricardo and Gustavo; his daughter Rosemarie Lerma; his father Lucas Lerma; and his brothers, Rolando and Rodolfo Lerma.
