He was predeceased by: his son Justin V. Perez; and his brother-in-law Pablo Juarez. He is survived by: his parents, James Perez Sr. and Graciela Mejia (Tudy Pena); his wife Elaine Perez (Evelia); his children, Tricia Perez (Joey), Jillaine Perez, Jeremy James Perez, James Manuel Perez III and Jesse James Perez (Yomaira); his parents-in-law, Pablo and Aida Juarez; and his siblings, George Mejia, Jessica Diaz, Gina Moreno, Crystal Moreno and Giselle Pena. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
