He is survived by: his wife Alison W. Lopez; his brother Albert C. Lopez (Mary); his sisters-in-law, Keta Lopez and Elisa Lopez; his children, James X. Lopez Jr., Terri Lee (Delton) and Dominic Lopez; his grandchildren, Jonas J. Lee (Natalie), Kendra J. Beall (Joe) and Matthew D. Lee (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Presley R. Lee, Landry E. Lee, Vaughan L. Beall, Lola Lopez, Jazzlyn and Kaylee James; and his uncle Frank Joseph of Xavier's Hair Salon.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home (1400 E Business 77, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (1015 E Van Buren Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Garza-Chapa Family Cemetery.
