Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Ervin and Jessie Robertson Lucas; his sisters, Gladys and Pearl; his spouse Danna Danner; his son Stephen Lucas (Dana Lucas); and his stepsons, Royce and Rodney Danner. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mont Meta Cemetery.
