Jack Allen McNutt Obituary
Jack Allen McNutt (May 24, 1935 – March 14, 2022) was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and enlisted in the Army as a young man. He served 9 years in the Army, followed by 14 years in the Army National Guard, while also growing his career with Caterpillar. He retired in 1996, which allowed him to pursue his passions of golf, dancing, travel, and most importantly, spending time with his loving family.
Jack will be remembered as a strong family man. He was a dedicated husband with an outgoing personality, a vibrant sense of humor, and was a pillar of both the Illinois and Texas communities he lived in. Jack was also very active in the American Legion, working up his way to Third Division Commander.
Jack is survived, and already missed dearly, by his wife Linda, his son Robert (“Bob”), his grandchildren Ryan, Aaron and Jacy, and his great grandchildren Remi and Oden.
Services for Jack will be held Thursday, March 24 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Homes, 121 West Third Street, Delavan, IL 61734, with a viewing at 1PM and memorial service beginning at 2PM. An additional service will be held in Harlingen Texas at Paradise Park in the recreation hall on Wednesday March 30 at 2:00 pm
If desired, donations in Jack’s memory can be made to the Delavan American Legion Post 382, 118 E. 3rd St, Delavan, IL 61734.
