He is survived by : his friend Aggie; his wife Kay Kristen Dunkin; his children, Sue Kristen Champion (Wesley), James Dunkin and Dial Dunkin; his granddaughter Katie Dunkin of Harlingen; his father Dial Mathew Dunkin; his siblings, Donnette Lanae Hansen (Sheila), Douglas Lloyd Dunkin (Darling), Doak Mathew Dunkin (Nora), Peggy O'Brien (David), Warren Wade Dunkin (Lisa) and Sandra Dunkin (Dave); his grandchildren, Brady, Miller and Stetson (Champion); and his in-laws, Jim and Sue Coates. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park (26873 White Ranch Rd, La Feria, TX 78559). A prayer was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
