He was predeceased by: his father Guadalupe Sr. Villarreal. He is survived by: his mother Beatriz Quintanilla Villarreal; his wife Matilde Villarreal; his children, Guadalupe Villarreal III and Monica Villarreal; and his brother Roberto Villarreal (Claudia). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relative, and friends.
