She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Gaytan and Odilia Zuniga; and her daughter Margarita "Maggie" Roux. She is survived by: her husband Jose Sanchez Jr.; her children, Rose Mary Mata, Veronica "Roni" Martinez (Jessie) and John David Silva; her grandchildren, Aaron Mata and Iliana Silva; her siblings, Miguel Gaytan, Rey Gaytan and Josie Castanos; and her stepmother Laura Gaytan.
