It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberto L. Garcia of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Maria Galaviz, Eva Porras, Raul Garcia, Roberto Garcia, Ernesto Garcia and Benjamin Garcia; and his spouse Fermina Acevedo Escobedo. He was also cherished by 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, including relatives such as Janie Garcia, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A prayer was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
