He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Jane Bodenhamer-Lopez; and his parents, Beatriz Barrera Lopez and Gilbert Lopez, Sr.. He is survived by: his son Justin Gilbert Lopez; his sisters, Becky Stirzaker (Tom) and Rosie Aguilar; his niece Jacqueline Munguia (Shad); his great-nephew Jonathan; his great-niece Scarlett Rose; and his friend Norma Villanueva. He is also survived by numerous relatives and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be sent to the Nueva Luz Foundation to help continue Gilbert Lopez's life work.
