He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Joseph Watkins Sr. and Patricia Ann Pallmeyer; and his brother Seth Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Norma V. Watkins; and his stepson Jacob Jaramillo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
